Ready-to-use, water-based, elastic, waterproofing mastic compound. It is recommended for effective waterproofing on the surfaces of walls, floors and ceilings in premises with periodic wetting (sanitary conveniences, bathrooms, and shower rooms, corridors, kitchens and balconies).
- Keeps high adhesion to mineral lower stratums (concrete, plaster, brick, etc.), as well as to gypsum plasterboard and technical types of plastic
- Keeps high elasticity over the entire service life, bridge up cracks up to 3 mm * formed in the lower stratum
- It is easily and conveniently applied by brush, roller, putty spattle to dry and damp lower stratums
- Withstands direct water pressure over 60 m and back pressure up to 5 m water column
- Vapor permeable
- GLIMS® ВодоSTOP ORANGE is used before facing with ceramic tiles, porcelain gres, mosaics, natural and artificial stone, as well as plastering or filling-up of surfaces
- GLIMS® ВодоSTOP ORANGE is water-based, environmentally friendly
SURFACE PREPARATION
The surface must be dry, durable, free from dust, dirt, paint and grease stains. Before the mastic compound application it is necessary to treat porous, weak and highly absorbent lower stratums with GLIMS® PrimeГрунт primer or moisten them with water. To reduce the mastic compound consumption before GLIMS® ВодоSTOP ORANGE applying it is necessary to level the surface using GLIMS® Tweed extra-strong plaster (minimum layer thickness is 10 mm) and/or GLIMS® StyroПрайм, GLIMS®Stukko-RF stopping fillers. Horizontal surfaces with irregularities of 5 mm or more are recommended to be preliminarily (at least 24 hours earlier) leveled with GLIMS®CF-10 and GLIMS®CF-40 cement poured floors.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
GLIMS® Water STOP ORANGE is applied with a brush, roller or putty spattle in at least two layers with intermediate drying for at least 2 hours. The material must be mixed before use. Each subsequent layer is applied after the complete drying out of the previous one. When applying GLIMS®ВодоSTOP ORANGE the temperature of the lower stratum and the environment should not be lower than +5 ° C and not higher than +35°C. The recommended material consumption per 1 layer is 400-650 g/m². For weak and highly water-absorbing lower stratums: after their preliminary damping, at first a thin primer layer of the material (about 200 g/m²) is applied on the wet surface. Then, after it has complete drying out (not earlier than after 2 hours), a second layer is applied, if necessary, a third layer of material is also applied. If visible defects remain on the dried surface of the material, an additional coat of GLIMS® ВодоSTOP ORANGE should be applied. At this, the consumption for the walls treatment is not less than 800 g/m², for the floor treatment - not less than 900 g/m². Each subsequent layer of mastic compound is applied in the direction perpendicular to the previous one. It is possible to glue the tiles, apply the plaster or stopping filler on the surface of GLIMS® ВодоSTOP ORANGE after the material drying out, i.e. not earlier than 24 hours from the moment of the last layer applying (at a temperature above +22°С and humidity not more than 50%). Avoid exposure to water during the drying period. At elevated temperatures the final drying is faster. The waterproofing properties, strength and adhesion of the material gains after complete drying out. Operation temperature range is from -50 to +70 ° С. The material is not recommended for use as a topcoat.
