SURFACE PREPARATION
When applying and hardening the finishing mortar the temperature of the lower stratum and the environment should not be lower than +5 ° C. The mortar is applied to durable, dry, dust free lower stratums, the curing process of which is completed. It is recommended to remove dusty and loose layers from the surface. Brick walls made of ceramic bricks, concrete and slag blocks must be preliminarily treated with a GLIMS® PrimeГрунт or GLIMS® DeepPrimeГрунт primers. The surface of brick walls made of sand-lime bricks, aerated blocks, hollow concrete, LECA, Ytong blocks, autoclaved lightweight concrete blocks and polystyrene concrete blocks or old plastered surfaces are recommended to be twice treated with GLIMS®PrimeГрунт or GLIMS®DeepPrimeГрунт (“wet on wet”) and wait for complete drying out.
MORTAR PREPARATION
Pour the dry mix into clean water at a rate of 0,35-0,37 l of water per 1 kg of dry mix (5,3-5,6l per 15 kg). Mix thoroughly to obtain even consistency without fisheyes. At the first mixing the mixture looks dry, it is FORBIDDEN to pour water in addition. Keep for 5 minutes and mix again; the mixture becomes flexible and soft at application. The mortar is in working order for 4 hours after mixing. At the mass thickening in the reservoir “revive” it by mixing without addition of water. When using plastering stations or plastering units, set the water flow correctly according to the instructions for the used devices operation.
SURFACE PARGETING
Mortar application. Finishing mortar is applied to the surface with a trowel or a putty spattle with a layer of 5 to 35 mm in one operation. If the thickness of the plaster layer is more than 35 mm, then the first layer is not screedded. Subsequent layers can be applied no earlier than 8 hours after applying of the previous one. Mortar screeding. The mortar layer should be screedded with a screed bar according to preliminarily arranged system of screed strips. Plaster layer float finish. It is possible to smooth the plaster 4-6 hours after screeding or at the same time as rubbing it with a steel floater or a wide putty spattle.
Plaster layer troweling. After 18-24 hours after the plaster layer screeding, the plaster can be troweled. At operation there are used steel grids, plastic darbies or floats with a rubber or polyurethane base. Before troweling the plaster surface is moistened with water. For final surface leveling it is recommended to use GLIMS finish or leveling cement stopping fillers.
CONSUMPTION: Manual application - 4.2-4.5 kg/m2 with a layer thickness of 5 mm. Mechanical application - 3.8-4.3 kg/m2 with a layer thickness of 5 mm.
