SURFACE PREPARATION
It is applied on concrete, brick, gypsum and cement plasters, gypsum boards, moisture-resistant gypsum boards, gypsum plasterboards, asbestos-cement boards as well as on surfaces already covered with old tiles. The lower stratum surface must be dry, durable, free from dust, dirt, paint and grease stains. At material application and solidification the temperature of the lower stratum and the environment must not be not less than +5°C. Treat the cleared surface with a primer of GLIMS® PrimeГрунт by means of a brush or a roller. If the gypsum plaster or highly absorbing substrate is used as a lower stratum, it is recommended to treat the surface with primer twice and wait for complete drying out. Vertical surfaces with irregularities starting from 5 mm are recommended to be preliminarily (at least 24 hours earlier) leveled using the leveling stopping fillers GLIMS® StyroПрайм, GLIMS®Stukko-RF or GLIMS®Tweed plaster (minimum layer thickness is 10 mm). Horizontal surfaces with irregularities of 5 mm or more are recommended to be preliminarily (at least 24 hours in earlier) leveled with poured floors GLIMS®S-Base or GLIMS®S-Level or with poured floors on cement binder GLIMS®CF-40 or GLIMS®CF-10. When laying on the surface of heated floors, the under floor heating system must be turned off 24; the lower stratum temperature must be from +5 to +30 °C.
MORTAR PREPARATION
Pour the dry mix into a reservoir with clean water at a rate of 0.23-0.25 l of water per 1 kg of dry mix (5,75-6,25 l per bag of 25 kg) and mix thoroughly with a mixer machine to even consistency. Keep the mortar for 10 minutes and mix it once more. The mortar is in working order for 4 hours after mixing. If during this time the mortar thickens in the reservoir, it is necessary to “revive” it by mixing without adding of water.
TECHNOLOGY OF WORK EXECUTION
If it is necessary to create a waterproofing layer, before applying the adhesive, preliminarily but no less than 24 hours earlier treat the lower stratum with GLIMS® GreenResin or GLIMS® ВодоStop water isolation materials. The contact adhesive layer is applied by the smooth side of the putty spattle and leveled with a notched trowel. The tile is put to place and gently pressed into the adhesive. Determine the adhesive application area basing on the possibility of tiles laying on it during 20 minutes. It is not necessary to wet the tile with water before laying. Joints grouting. Joints grouting should be performed no earlier than after 24 hours. For tile joints grouting it is recommended to use GLIMS® Fuga waterproof grout. The material is environmentally friendly in use and operation. Operation temperature range is from -50 to +70 ° С. While working it is necessary to observe the norms of SNiP and industrial hygiene.
CONSUMPTION
1.3 kg of dry mix per 1 m2 with a layer thickness of 1 mm.
