For effective waterproofing of walls, floors, ceilings, as well as pools, foundations, underground floors, etc. For exterior or interior use.
- For constant contact with water
- It is easily and conveniently applied by brush, roller, putty spattle both to dry and damp lower stratums
- Possesses high adhesion to mineral lower stratums, metals, wood, gypsum plasterboard and technical types of plastic
- Withstands direct water pressure over 60 m and back pressure up to 5 m water column
- Water resistant
- Vapor permeable
- Freeze-thaw resistant (50 cycles)
- Keeps high elasticity over the entire service life, bridge up cracks (up to 2 mm) formed in the lower stratum
- It is possible to perform any finishing work (tile, plaster, poured floors, filling-up, painting, screed coats) on the surface of GLIMS®GreenResin
- The material is suitable for communications lead-in waterproofing, as well as for treating of concrete inserts (metal, technical types of plastic, wood)
- The material is environmentally friendly
SURFACE PREPARATION
The lower stratum surface must be durable, free from dust, dirt, paint and grease stains. Before the GLIMS®GreenResin application it is necessary to damp porous, weak and highly absorbent lower stratums with water abundantly. To reduce the consumption of tile adhesive and top coat before the material application it is necessary to level the surface using GLIMS® Tweed extra-strong plaster (minimum layer thickness is 10 mm) and/or GLIMS® StyroПрайм, GLIMS®Stukko-RF stopping fillers. Horizontal surfaces with irregularities of 5 mm or more are recommended to be preliminarily (at least 24 hours earlier) leveled with GLIMS gypsum or cement poured floors.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
GLIMS® GreenResin is applied with a brush, roller or putty spattle in at least two layers with intermediate drying for at least 2 hours. Each subsequent layer is applied after the complete drying out of the previous one. When applying GLIMS® GreenResin the temperature of the lower stratum and the environment should not be lower than +5°C and not higher than +35°C. The recommended material consumption is 150-500 g/m2per 1 layer. The drying of the material can be estimated by the change in its color from greenish-blue to dark green. For weak and highly water-absorbing lower stratums: after their preliminary damping, at first a thin primer layer of the material (about 200 g/m²) is applied on the wet surface; then after its complete drying out (after 6-8 hours) a second layer is applied, if necessary, a third layer of material is also applied. If visible defects remain on the dried surface of the material, an additional coat of GLIMS® GreenResin should be applied.
Recommended consumption for the walls treatment in 2 layers is ≥ 700 g/m² (0,5 mm), for the floor treatment in 2 layers is ≥ 850 g/m² (0,6 mm). Areas of the most likely formation of cracks (junctions between walls and floors, places for arrangement of window units and door assemblies, hairline joints of slabs, pipes, wires, etc.) are recommended to be treated with three layers of GLIMS® GreenResin using a fiberglass mesh. It is also recommended to use a fiberglass mesh for waterproofing gypsum boards, moisture-resistant gypsum board, gypsum plasterboard at the sheets hairline joints. Each subsequent layer is applied in the direction perpendicular to the previous one. It is possible to glue the tiles, apply the plaster or stopping filler on the surface of GLIMS®GreenResin after the material drying out. At the ambient humidity of not more than 60% and the temperature of + 20 ° С the drying time is 24-48 hours from the moment of the last layer application. At humidity increasing or temperature decreasing the drying time increases. Avoid exposure to water during the drying period.
It is suitable for the installation of the “heat-insulated floor” system with operation temperature up to + 65°С. At elevated temperatures the drying time decreases. The waterproofing properties, strength and adhesion of the material gains after complete drying out.
